The CAREFUL programme is a curriculum
of teaching and coaching structured
into seven distinct stages which
will develop your organisation's capability, performance and sense
of ownership. With new skills and more consistent behaviour you can
provide the great healthcare of which you know your organisation can
deliver.
The CAREFUL programme delivers measurable improvements across the three circles:

Operations: productivity, profitability,
access and capacity
Patients: clinical outcomes and
patient satisfaction
People: retention, motivation and capability
The training and coaching is practical and - where necessary - prescriptive. It is designed to build on your staff's inherent desire for better patient care and a better patient experience (see the recent NHS Survey "What Matters to Staff in the NHS"). Better patient outcomes drive high levels of staff engagement. With lower staff turnover, retaining the best people you can improve the processes that will deliver the operational and financial results you need.
We work with our clients for a minimum of two years - usually three to deliver these benefits and ensure that they are embedded into the organisation's culture.
Through the seven stages we ensure that the entire organisation is aligned and that the organisations ambitions, goals and targets are clear - and that they are properly communicated and cascaded to those that need to deliver them. We then introduce simple but important leadership skills which can radically and swiftly change behaviour in the organisation. Only then do we address the more technically vexing questions of process control and process management.
For every organisation, the curriculum is supervised and where necessary delivered by one of our organisational coaches.
